“Disney After Hours” – Is it worth it?

This event will give guests the opportunity to stay in the Magic Kingdom Theme Park three hours after closing time on select nights throughout April and May.

This event will enable participants to enjoy more exclusive time in Magic Kingdom – with quicker than typical access to popular attractions like Space Mountain and the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and character greetings like the ones in Town Square and Princess Fairytale Hall.

Ice cream novelties and bottled beverages also will be available for guests during the three hours of the event. 

“Disney After Hours” is a three-hour event that will take place once the park closes on the following dates:

·         April 14, 21 and 28

·         May 5, 8, 12 and 19

It is our opinion that this event will be worth it for SOME people.  Those guests with teenagers, singles, older couples and night owls will appreciate this event the most.  Most definitely for the Disney fan that wants to get the most out of the attraction experience with very little to no wait time. It may be of consideration to enjoy your day with a combination of Disney Springs and/or relaxing at the pool – a nice dinner and then head to Magic Kingdom for an intense evening of rides and attractions, meet and greets and the nocturnal wonders of the Magic Kingdom only enjoyed late into the evening. Parents of youngster? Bring the grandparents to babysit or take advantage of the Kids Clubs or Kids Nite Out so you can perhaps enjoy Magic Kingdom late at night with fewer people…but be prepared for the little ones the next day!!

If Disney offeredit’s Quick Service Dining during this time frame, then we think it would be more of abenefit. We also think the price is a little steep for say, a family of 4. Our opinion is that $99 per person would have been more in the ball park – because we all know that Disney will increase their pricing eventually!

A separate event ticket is required and will go on sale April 6^th costing $149 (plus tax) for all ages.
